Last Tuesday, I strolled through the South End of Boston heading toward the Cyclorama at the Boston Center for the Arts on Tremont St, pumped to be attending the Greater Boston Theatre Expo. Imagine 50+ theater companies in one really large room. Professional, fringe, and everything in between and around these blurry categories, local theater companies set up shop on their respective tables, offering their wares: flyers, sign-up sheets, candy, eye-catching frog costumes, mustachioed ladies, wheels of fortune, fans, tote bags, CDs, you name it.
